After our trip to the delta, we stayed in Nata for some nights before returning to Gabs. I’ve seen the pans several times before, but never like this: because of heavy rain falls in Zimbabwe, the pans are full of water and look like one giant lake. As far as you can see, the calm and slightly salty water reaches out to the horizon. Compared to last year, only few birds were there yet, but they’ll come once the water levels are lower. Then it will take a few more months until the water has disappeared completely, leaving behind the barren surface. We watched the sunset over the water, something quite unreal considering that you’re in the middle of the desert, but oh-so-beautiful…
One Response to when the desert turns into sea
Hello,
I am a casting producer on an American television show about people buying homes abroad. I came across your blog and wanted to reach out to see if you might be interested in being in an episode of our show.
House Hunters International tells the story of people picking up their lives and moving to a foreign and exotic location in a new country to pursue a new life. Being on the show is a lot of fun for our participants and is a great way to document their exciting search for a new home abroad.
We are casting people who already have a home, or who are currently looking for a home abroad. If you or anyone you know fit these qualifications please let me know.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Regards,
Rebecca
