This past weekend, we went to Botsalano with a group of friends for a night in the bush. Upon entering the reserve, we saw a group of 14 or so rhinos at the waterhole, including two baby rhinos. Apparently, they also have an issue with poaching in the reserve, so the lady at the gate told us not to worry if we hear gunshots at night, but luckily we didn’t hear anything apart from the howling of the jackals and the occasional noises of the nightly bush. While we saw quite a few antelopes on our gamedrives, the waterhole was actually the best spot to watch animals and the next day we saw lots of wilderbeest, kudus and zebras over there. It was fun and I really enjoyed being out in the bush for some time.
Thanks to everyone who came along for this trip!
