For the last part of our trip we went to visit my cousin and aunt near Washington, D.C. and got a glorious day to explore a bit of the city. Of course, we had to see the White House and Michelle Obama’s vegetable garden, and then walked all the way to the Lincoln Memorial. We also visited Arlington Cemetery and Kennedy’s grave before catching some more sunrays at the Waterfront and dinner in Georgetown. DC feels like a good place to live and work, and I was really surprised by how active people are – I almost got run over by runners and there were people on bycicles everywhere!

Thanks to Ruth and Esther for showing us around!
